The Cheryl Cole Foundation

We are happy to announce that Cheryl Cole is launching her own charitable foundation with The Prince’s Trust following a meeting with the youth charity’s President, HRH The Prince of Wales. The Cheryl Cole Foundation will provide vital funds for The Prince’s Trust in the North East, helping disadvantaged young people from Cheryl’s own hometown and the surrounding region.

Cheryl said:“Too many young people grow up thinking no-one cares and don’t believe they can make anything of themselves. They have so much potential– but can go off the rails without the right care and support. I want my Foundation to help them realise their potential and get their lives on track.“I have always been a great admirer of the work of The Prince’s Trust with disadvantaged young people across the UK. It’s the perfect charity for my Foundation to support.”

The Cheryl Cole Foundation, which will launch in April, will support The Trust’s work with young people who have struggled at school, are long-term unemployed, those who have been in trouble with the law and those who are in or leaving care. More than three in four young people supported by The Trust move into jobs, education or training.

Cheryl will attend The Prince’s Trust& L'Oréal Paris Celebrate Success Awards next month, which recognise the outstanding achievements of young people who have overcome challenges ranging from drug addiction and depression to homelessness.

A spokesperson for Clarence House added:“The Prince is delighted that Cheryl has decided to support young people through his Prince’s Trust.”
